Flexible Dentures:

Patients looking for a comfortable alternative to traditional dentures could be interested in Flexible dentures, available at Dulwich Dental Clinic.

The flexible denture works by flexing into position, it does not require the use of metal clasping mechanisms to hold the dentures in place. Individuals with irregularities in the shape of their mouth could benefit greatly from the treatment and experience a growth to their self-confidence as a result.

Patients who wear flexible dentures are extremely unlikely to experience any pain or discomfort from the fixture, due to the lack of metal clasps or adhesive. Using this form of treatment, individuals are able to enjoy increased retention as a result of the custom-fitted design.

In addition, flexible dentures provide a more cosmetic solution by being more aesthetically pleasing compared to traditional dentures. The material used to create the fixture is transparent and blends in with the natural gum colour in the mouth. The metal clasps found in traditional dentures are replaced with tooth coloured clasps in flexible dentures.

Valplast Dentures:

Valplast is a flexible resin based denture, it is ideal for partial dentures as is unbreakable when in use. The biocompatible thermoplastic denture contains physical and aesthetic properties to allow a patient’s natural gum tissue colour to appear through the material, which makes it almost invisible.

Metal Dentures: Cobol Chrome

Metal dentures are usually smaller than plastic dentures and do not fully cover the roof of the mouth as plastic dentures do. As a result, this improves the taste sensation for the denture wearer, so you can taste foods better.

Acrylic Dentures:

Here at Dulwich Dental Clinic, your practitioner can recommend acrylic dentures to fill gaps or replace missing teeth from the upper or lower jaw. Some acrylic partial fittings feature metal clips or clasps, but rather than adding greater support, these fixtures simply help to retain the dentures in the correct position.
